“They were patient and kind, listening to me without judgment, praying for me, offering helpful life advice, and teaching me what healthy friendships are like,” says Cassidy.
Step by step, Cassidy began to rebuild. Then came an unexpected and life-changing moment.
“When I found out I was pregnant, I also found there was a community of kind strangers rooting and praying for me and for my dreams of a brighter future for my family.”
For many, this could have been overwhelming. But this time, Cassidy was not alone. She had a community around her and mentors walking beside her, encouraging her, praying for her, and reminding her that a different future was possible for her family.
Yet, like many new mothers, tangible needs were standing in the way of a confident beginning: safe sleep, reliable transportation, and essentials for bringing a baby home.
Through the support of her Harbour Hope community, Cassidy received a crib, car seat, and other critical resources that ensured her baby could come home safely and be cared for with love. These are more than items. They are security, peace of mind, and a foundation for a new beginning.
“I’m so grateful for them, for the friendly faces I’ve met, and for the kindness of those behind the scenes who have blessed me in quiet ways. I may not know all of the hands who have helped give me greater hope, but God does, and I pray His many blessings over each one. To each of them, I want to say: thank you.”
