Mary is one of our remarkable volunteers whose journey reflects the heart of Harbour Hope.
For most of her life, Mary has worked with children, always aware of how vulnerable young people can be. But when her own son encountered harmful online content—something she knew traffickers often use to groom and manipulate—her perspective changed forever. What happened in her own home awakened a deep conviction in her to stand against exploitation and protect those who are most at risk.
When her church hosted Harbour Hope’s Empowered Volunteer Training, Mary knew it was time to act. She joined our Prayer Team first, faithfully interceding for survivors and those supporting them. Over time, that desire to help grew stronger, and she and a close friend stepped into mentorship—walking alongside women as they rebuild their lives with courage and faith.
Through it all, Mary has seen God’s hand guiding her. She often shares how grateful she is that Harbour Hope became part of her story—a place filled with genuine believers committed to restoring dignity and offering real hope.
